Job Description
The registered nurse in this role practices independently within a clinical setting, providing both routine and complex care while managing long-term goals and contingencies.
The department offers cross-trained staffing in Labor and Delivery, Antepartum, and Obstetrical Emergency, supported by 24-hour anesthesia and hospitalist coverage, handling approximately 220 deliveries monthly.
Responsibilities include utilizing nursing processes, administering medications, documenting care, and educating patients and families, aligning with ANA standards.
Candidates should have a BSN preferred, at least 1 year of relevant experience, and current BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications.
Newly hired nurses must complete orientation and competency validation within designated timeframes.
Additional certifications like Fetal Heart Monitoring and trauma or neonatal resuscitation are required within specified grace periods.
The schedule varies, and the position is full-time.
