Job Description

The Behavioral Health Center at Porter Health Village is a new 48-bed facility opening in Summer 2024, offering expanded services for adult and senior behavioral health patients. The Registered Nurse position involves leadership in patient care activities, adherence to professional nursing standards, medication delivery, documentation, and compliance with regulations. Essential functions include utilizing the nursing process, crisis intervention, medication administration, and maintaining medical records. Requirements include an active RN license, an Associate Degree in Nursing, and one year of inpatient hospital experience. Qualifications include adaptability to high-stress environments, effective communication, critical thinking skills, and completion of CPR certification and behavioral health de-escalation program. The work environment is fast-paced and may involve unpredictable patient behavior, with 12-hour rotating shifts.
