Job Description
The Respiratory Therapist I provides patient care across all ages, performing assessments, therapy, and monitoring per physician orders and protocols.
Administers various respiratory therapies, conducts blood gas analysis, and manages ventilators and oxygen therapy.
Performs assessments, equipment setup, and participates in emergency, trauma, and code situations.
Assists with procedures like bronchoscopies and intubations; maintains documentation and equipment hygiene.
Requires accredited education, licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, NBRC certification, and BLS certification.
Strong communication, organizational skills, and ability to handle stressful situations are essential.
