Position Summary:
The OT – Occupational Therapist provides direct rehab care in occupational therapy to patients upon physician referral, adhering to laws and standards.
Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements:
NBCOT certified upon hire; renewal optional
Graduate of an accredited OT program (BSOT or MSOT)
Currently registered/licensed in applicable State
One year experience in post-acute care preferred
CPR certification required
Specific Job Requirements:
Participate in community health projects
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
Liaison with patients and families
Demonstrate good body mechanics
Make independent decisions as needed
Knowledgeable of relevant laws and guidelines
Implement department policies and procedures
Maintain confidentiality and professional relationships
Adhere to company policies and Code of Conduct
Essential Functions:
Follow treatment plans and establish goals
Oversee care by OTAs and students
Chart appropriately and utilize therapy software
Exhibit excellent customer service
Assist in patient evacuation
Demonstrate dependable attendance
Communicate effectively on an interdisciplinary team
Perform physical tasks as required
Read, write, and understand English
