Job Description
This role involves accurately assessing, documenting, and managing wound, ostomy, and continence patients, including measurements, descriptions, photos, and treatments.
Utilizes critical thinking and evidence-based practices to evaluate patient needs and select appropriate care products.
Proficient in applying wound dressings and evaluating ostomy appliances.
Communicates effectively with patients, families, and the care team, providing education and developing care plans, including discharge and DME supplies.
Serves as a clinical expert, offering guidance on complex cases and participating in continuing education to stay current.
Requires RN licensure in Virginia, BLS certification, and an associate’s degree in nursing (BSN preferred).
Must be computer literate, non-exempt, and physically capable of performing nursing duties.
