Job Description
Responsible for assessing, documenting, and managing wound, ostomy, and continence patients using evidence-based practices.
Accurately records wound measurements, descriptions, photographs, treatments, and procedures.
Utilizes critical thinking to select appropriate patient care products and demonstrates proficiency in wound dressing and ostomy appliance application.
Communicates effectively with patients, families, and the care team, providing education and collaborative care planning.
Serves as a clinical expert, offering guidance on complex wound, ostomy, and continence issues, and participates in continuing education.
Maintains required certifications, including RN licensure, BLS, and WOCN within designated timeframes.
Requires a BSN or commitment to obtain one, with a minimum of two years of clinical experience and computer literacy.
