Job Description
The Per Diem Registered Nurse in Medical Oncology is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, ensuring effective communication, teamwork, and professionalism.
They coordinate patient teaching, safety initiatives, and support other health team members while maintaining nursing standards.
Must complete annual competencies, participate in quality initiatives, and assume roles like Charge Nurse.
Requires an Associate Degree in Nursing, at least 2 years RN experience, Virginia RN licensure, and BLS certification.
Preferred candidates have a BSN and specialty certifications.
Must be competent in providing developmentally appropriate care and have reliable communication methods.
