Job Description
The registered professional nurse (RN III) in the Neuro Surgical Department is responsible for delivering comprehensive patient care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, evaluation, and documentation, ensuring quality communication, teamwork, and professionalism.
Responsibilities include directing patient teaching, safety initiatives, and coordinating activities of the health team while maintaining professional standards.
RN IIIs care for assigned patient populations, complete annual competencies, participate in unit-specific and professional development activities, and assume roles such as Charge Nurse.
They contribute to quality improvement, peer reviews, and educational efforts, with a current portfolio submitted annually.
