Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY: Assesses and treats neuromusculoskeletal & cardiorespiratory systems to restore or maintain function, manage pain, and promote mobility as prescribed by a physician. Responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized care plans, performing and overseeing physical therapy modalities, and collaborating with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Doctorate, Masters, Bachelors, or Associates Degree in Physical Therapy.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: Current New Mexico Physical Therapist licensure & BLS certification required.
Skills include assessment, decision-making, time management, strong communication, and organizational abilities.
Experience: None required.
Supervision: Responsible to the Director/Manager of Rehabilitation Services.
Environment involves exposure to communicable diseases, hazardous chemicals, and potential stressful situations, in a clean, ventilated setting.
Physical requirements include good physical condition, prolonged standing/walking, patient lifting/transfers, and handling up to 50 lbs.
