The Radiation Therapist role involves delivering radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist, ensuring patient safety and care. Responsibilities include patient care, treatment delivery, planning, documentation, safety compliance, collaboration, and equipment maintenance. Qualifications include completion of an accredited program, certification in radiation therapy, BLS certification, and familiarity with current techniques. Skills needed include interpersonal communication, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail, teamwork, and problem-solving. Physical requirements include standing for prolonged periods, lifting patients, and good visual and auditory skills.
