Job Description
This practical nursing role involves providing patient care under supervision, collaborating with RNs or physicians.
Responsibilities include data collection, planning, implementing, and evaluating care across all ages, with a focus on growth and development.
Participates in the nursing process, contributes to care plans, and addresses educational needs of patients, families, and caregivers.
Implements treatment plans, administers medications, and advocates for patients’ rights and cultural needs.
Supports performance improvement initiatives and staff development.
Requires graduation from an accredited practical nursing program, licensure in Virginia, and BLS certification.
Completion of psychiatric de-escalation training within four months of hire is required.
Must successfully complete orientation and meet essential job functions.
