Job Description

Directs and provides professional post anesthesia nursing care for patients of all ages, utilizing the nursing process. Supervises PACU or pre-operative staff, making decisions in the absence of higher management. Requirements include an NLN accredited nursing degree, current RN license, BLS certification, and ACLS/PALS certifications within specified timeframes. Preferred experience in PACU, ambulatory care, or critical care. Reports to Manager, Surgical Services. Involves direct contact with blood and body fluids, physical demands up to lifting 50 pounds, and exposure to hazardous substances.
