Job Description
Check prescription, diagnosis, chart, patient identification, etc. Schedule patients and explain procedure for pre-treatment and post-treatment. Answer questions and reassure patient. ¢ Interface with physicist, planning and mold tech at initiation of treatment. Act as liaison with supportive care physicians, nurses and social workers
Certification & Licensures
Radiation Technology through ARRT preferred
Qualifications
Analytical ability to set up equipment properly and position and align patients and equipment to very close tolerances and recreate such positions on a daily treatment basis. Interpersonal skills necessary to explain therapy and treatment programs to patients to allay apprehensions and elicit their cooperation. Must communicate effectively with physicians/staff/physicist. Demonstrates the ability to communicate with and provide care for adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
