Job Description

Clinical Nurse Specialist position specializing in wound care management. Responsibilities include providing consultation to staff and patients, ensuring evidence-based practices, managing wound care programs, and developing educational programs. Requirements include a nursing degree, NM nursing license, BLS certification, specialty certification in wound care preferred, strong communication and teaching skills, proficiency in English (Spanish preferred), two years of acute care experience, and experience in managing complex wounds and ostomies. Reports to various directors for nursing supervision. Environment involves exposure to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, and x-rays. Physical requirements include handling emergency situations, standing and walking for prolonged periods, lifting patients or equipment, and operating hospital equipment.
