About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced PRN Recreational Therapist – CTRS to join our team at Behavioral Hospital in the Westbank. As a Recreational Therapist – CTRS, you will be responsible for developing and implementing therapeutic recreation programs for our patients. Your main goal will be to improve the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of our patients through various recreational activities. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy or related field
Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) certification
Experience working in a healthcare setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Recreational Therapy or related field
Experience working with patients with mental health disorders
Experience working in an inpatient setting
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR)

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement therapeutic recreation programs for patients
Assess patients’ needs and develop individualized treatment plans
Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

Skills:

As a Recreational Therapist – CTRS, you will use your strong communication and interpersonal skills to develop and implement therapeutic recreation programs for our patients. You will also use your ability to work independently and as part of a team to collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Your CTRS certification and experience working in a healthcare setting will be essential in assessing patients’ needs and developing individualized treatment plans. Additionally, your experience working with patients with mental health disorders and in an inpatient setting will be beneficial in this role. Finally, your proficiency in English and Spanish and experience with electronic medical records (EMR) will be an asset in maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
